CRIMEA. Bakhchisaray excursion with khan palace and Uspenskiy monastery visits. Bakhchisaray is the former capital of the Crimean Khanate. The khan palace is the unique sample of the eastern architecture and the museum of art and life of Crimean tatars nowadays.

Bakhchisaray excursion with khan palace and Uspenskiy monastery visits. During this excursion you will visit the Khan’s Palace or Hansaray that is the historical-ethnographic museum at present; you will see the Fountain of Tears praised by Pushkin and the grand monuments in Bakhchisaray environs: the Uspenskiy monastery and town-fortress Chufut-Kale. The Uspensky Cave Monastery is the wonderful monastery made in the rocks of the Maryam-Dere canyon slopes by migrant monks. Chufut-Kale is the medieval town-fortress, built on the mountain plateau in the 5th-6th centuries. The three fortress walls with gates and towers, tomb, two kenassas (karaims prayer houses) and unique siege are well preserved.
